Announcing Parks & People's 12th annual 'Picnic in the Park': Carnival 2023! Support our mission and join us for a fun evening outdoors on our 9-acre campus, in the corner of Northwest Druid Hill Park. Gather, meet new people, enjoy fun food, drink, and games, and celebrate our city, our people, and our vision for transformative change.

This year, we are excited to offer 2 ticket tiers to Picnic in the Park!

  • All-Access Ticket holders gather at 6pm to sip cocktails, network with other attendees and the 2023 Sally J. Michel awardee Alicia Wilson, the Managing Director and Global Head of Philanthropy for North America, JPMorgan Chase, enjoy inventive dishes created by H3irloom Food Group and beer on tap from Guilford Hall Brewing, and be entertained by musical guest  Brandon Woody Trio.  But the night doesn't stop there! All Access ticketholders can stay for the After Party, where we kick it up a notch with circus art performers, and more delicious food! Tickets are $200 each.
  • Carnival ticket holders join us at 7:30 to enjoy food served by local Asian fusion restaurant Ekiben and ice cream maker Taharka Bros, drinks served at our open bar, dancing, as well as entertainment from Rufus Roundtree. Aerial dancers, stilt walkers, and carnival performers will begin their acts at 7:30. Tickets are $100.

We have a full evening of food, drinks, events, and entertainment planned so that no matter what time you join us for, we know it will be an evening to remember!

Your support of Picnic in the Park will help Parks & People advance its mission to unite Baltimore through parks by transforming blighted spaces into livable, playable outdoor spaces; increasing access to parks and green spaces; and engaging youth in the outdoors and environmental education. We believe that green space fosters community connections and helps make the lives of Baltimore City resident's happier, healthier, and safer.  In 2022, we celebrated the opening of 9 new green spaces across 10+ acres for 20,568 residents within a quarter mile walk of one of these projects. In 2023, we plan to develop 12 new park projects across 14+acres of green space for 32,969 local residents. These planned park projects come in addition to the hundreds of students we will serve through SuperKids Camp 2023 and the Branches Workforce Development Program.

We invite you to sponsor Picnic in the Park: Carnival 2023 in support of Parks & People. Please contact Rachel at [email protected] or 410-448-5663 to discuss sponsorship opportunities.
